June 2003 - T-Mobile UK launched the first true 'Instant
Email' service for small business and 'prosumers' (professional
consumers), offering email access on the move almost
all around the globe.
Spearheading
the launch of T-Mobile's Instant Email service is the
BlackBerry® solution. This includes the BlackBerry 7230Ô
wireless handheld with colour-screen and tri-band features,
and the BlackBerry 6230Ô, currently only available on
the T-Mobile network. Also the Instant Email service
is available on the Sony Ericsson P800, the Nokia 7650
and 3650 powered by Infowave Software (TSE: IW) email
software.
The
service has recently been launched in Germany and Austria
and is also available for T-Mobile customers in the
USA. Later this year the service will launch in the
remainder of T-Mobile's markets ensuring international
consistency.
Brian
McBride, Managing Director for T-Mobile UK, comments:
"Living in an information-hungry society, people want
information and they want it fast. T-Mobile's objective
is to entirely focus on this and in doing so offer our
customers a portfolio of simple and intuitive services
that they want, will use and which will give value for
money."
'Instant
Email' enables its customers to work seamlessly, while
out of the office and on the move. The service's 'always
on' connection (via GPRS) allows emails to be delivered
anytime, almost anywhere, proving invaluable to today's
busy entrepreneurs and email-savvy customers.

society; email is becoming as essential as the ability
to make a mobile phone call. Instant email promotes
the ability for small and medium sized businesses to
stay competitive and increase productivity.
"We
are committed to creating a wireless workplace, focusing
on the small business and 'prosumer' market as a core
element in our mobile data strategy."
The
'Instant Email' service can be added to any T-Mobile

device from the range, adds a voice or data pay monthly
price plan and the monthly Instant Email service at
