launches its rotational camera-fitted GPRS phone
on the Italian market, the largest in Europe. The
camera phone model is fitted with 65,000 -color
TFD-LCD and 40 poly and intended for export to Europe.
The model has a video camcorder function and enables
moving image video clips. LG is set to market various
camera-fitted color phone sets in major global mobile
phone markets including China and the United States
in the first half of this year. |

LG
Electronics has started supplying first-rate rotational
camera-mounted GPRS color phone sets to Italian major
communications company Wind; thus penetrating high-class
GSM markets with its advanced technology and differentiated
designs.
The
high-tech GPRS camera phone (model: G8000) features
high-performance 110,000-pixel camera and 65,000-color
TFD-LCD and stores moving images. It is also fitted
with 40- poly sound source chip, thereby supporting
various multimedia functions.
In
addition, the dual folder-type ‘G8000’ can transmit
data at the speed of 115kbps. It is also equipped with
super-large ten-line color LCD; thus enabling the user
to display various color multimedia data such as characters
and photos.
One
notable feature of this high-tech product is its camera
phone and video camcorder function that enables moving
image video clips.
“We
have recently marketed the third-generation WCDMA device
(U8100) that enables communications with moving images.
This time, we also exported GPRS camera phone sets to
Italy. We expect to establish our reputation in the
European market through the camera-equipped color phone
with its hi-tech applications that are guaranteed to
attract the industry’s attention,” disclosed Yi Ho,
LG Electronics Vice President and GSM Overseas Marketing
Team Manager.
LG
Electronics is set to export various camera-equipped
color handsets to major global mobile markets including
Europe, China, and the United States in the first half
of this year.
