13 February 2004 - Siemens Mobile has shown off two
new handsets. The tri-band CX65 comes with an extra
large 65,536 color screen and integrated video camera.
Siemens also unveiled a stunning new clamshell phone
in Madrid - the tri-band CF62. This phone features clean
design lines and boasts two vivid screens, including
a 65k colour main display.

The CX65 offers the ultimate in multimedia messaging,
allowing you to capture both sound and moving
images. Using the integrated VGA video camera,
you can take pictures and video, and then display
them in vivid colour on the extra-large screen.
Thanks to an attachable flash, which offers red-eye
reduction, you can also capture images when youre
on a night out.
The CX65 combines technology with simplicity;
Java means you can personalise your phone with
downloadable material, a joystick makes gaming
more engaging, and e-mail means you can check
your inbox and send messages while on the move.
For ease, the CX65 also offers an animated download
assistant a virtual friend that helps you
download ring tones, logos or games from the Siemens
website.
The phone comes with an impressive 11MB of memory,
which means plenty of storage for everything from
multimedia messages to address books. GPRS capability
also allows you to send and receive data at high-speed,
whether its a video clip or a cool new game.
The CX65 offers a talk time of five hours and
250 hours standby time, so you dont need
to worry about the CX65 running out of energy.

The CX65 comes with a wide range of Siemens Original
Accessories, including a variety of fashionable fascias,
a clip-on flash camera with red eye reduction, a headset,
various chargers and data cables, an extra battery and
a practical Tour Case. In addition, there is a range
of in-car solutions including a Car Kit Easy and a flexible
Car Kit Portable, which conform to the new legislation
with reference to driving while using a mobile phone.

The CF62 is the perfect phone for consumers who
appreciate precise detailing. The clamshells
distinctive design includes a subtle loop antenna
and a genuine chrome finish. To reflect the pared-down
styling the CF62 is available in two muted colours
- cool grey or cool cashmere.
The CF62 is so compact that it can fit the smallest
of pockets it has a volume of 78cm3 and
weighs a mere 85g.
Despite its diminutive size, under the surface
the CF62 is very expressive. The high-resolution
65,536 colour display vibrantly renders MMS messages
or pictures taken with the attachable QuickPic
Camera with flash. There is also a caller display
on the outer screen so you know who is calling
before flipping the phone open.
The CF62 is a triband handset, equipped with
JAVA, GPRS, WAP and polyphonic ring tones. It
can easily be customised with downloaded sounds,
images and applications from the Siemens website.

The phone provides five hours talk time and 220 hours
of standby time.
A wide range of Siemens Original Accessories are available
to complement the clamshell phone. Besides the attachable
QuickPic Camera with flash, a range of headsets can
be selected including the newly designed Headset Purestyle.
There are two high quality portable in-car solutions
to choose from, the innovative plug and play Car Kit
Easy and the flexible Car Kit Portable. Also available
is a stylish Textile Case and a practical Tour Case
as well as various chargers, a data cable and an extra
battery.
These phones will be available in the UK from the
second quarter of 2004, at a price yet to be announced.
