24 February 2004 - Alcatel will unveil five new mobile
telephones at the 3GSM World Congress. In each of their
categories, these mobile phones meet the market requirements
in terms of technology, ergonomy and design. They are
extremely simple to use and will make access to the
most popular multimedia services and technologies even
easier: video, photo, MMS and the most recent version
of Java? (MIDP 2.0) for downloading games and applications.
The One Touch? 756, with its TFT 262 000 color screen
is the tri-band multimedia mobile telephone par excellence.
A true all-rounder, the One Touch? 756 will record videos
with sound, download, send and receive videos by MMS,
let you enjoy MP3 melodies and polyphonic ring tones
and, thanks to Java? MIDP 2.0 technology, speed up the
downloading of games and applications. The One Touch?756
is a GPRS class 10.
The One Touch? 835 with its two high definition color
screens (262 000 colors on the inside and 65 000 on
the outside) is Alcatel's first handset with a flip
cover and one of the lightest and most compact on the
market (88g). It is equipped with an integrated VGA
camera that films short videos and animated images that
can be used to personalize the contacts in your directory.
The One Touch? 835 comes with MMS, four ready-to-play
games and is GPRS class 10.
The One Touch? 556, equipped with a VGA camera and
a high quality color screen, enables you to watch, receive,
download and send videos and has a large downloading
capacity; This handset also comes with Java? MIDP 2.0
making the downloading of applications, games, melodies
and images easier than ever before. The inbuilt camera
function allows you to add sound to a photo, which then
may be sent via MMS. The handset is GPRS class 10. In
summary, the One Touch? 556 offers you an affordable,
mass-market mobile tri-band telephone with camera.
The One Touch? 735i is a mobile telephone with an integrated
camera and is equipped with Java? MIDP 2.0 technology
to download games and applications via the Wap and Internet.
It has been designed for game-playing comfort; this
includes being able to play games in landscape mode
with an «action» button for the right hand and a central
browsing button for the left hand. The One Touch? 735i
also boasts a quick and easy-to-use camera and MMS.
The One Touch? 332a is an affordable color mobile telephone,
intended for the Latin American markets. It is equipped
with a 4096-color screen and offers various functions
such as SMS, EMS and WAP as well as numerous polyphonic
ring tones and images for personal customization. Extremely
light (77g) and compact, this simple and user-friendly
model is the ideal choice in terms of value for money.
The One Touch? 735i is currently available, the One
Touch? 835 and 332a will follow in April this year,
the One Touch? 756 will enter the market from June and
the One Touch? 556 will be available from September.
