21st January 2005 - ZTE Corporation, Chinas largest
telecommunications supplier, is to supply a key Intelligent
Network (IN) system to support the IDD Prepaid customers
of MobileOne Limited the innovative and fast-growing
Singapore mobile network operator.
ZTE and its local partner, ADDvantage Consulting Private
Limited, will supply a feature-rich IN System for M1
on a turnkey basis. The system includes ZTEs SCP
and SMP, and the SSP based on the award winning ZTE
ZXJ10 digital switch. Together, the two organisations
will provide system implementation, integration, maintenance
and consultative services to M1.
Mr Patrick Scodeller, Chief Technical Officer of M1,
said: "The International Calling Card business
is an integral part of M1's overall service offering.
The ZTE Intelligent Network platform will provide us
with the flexibility and capability to offer our IDD
customers a resilient and advanced yet cost-effective
service, allowing us to exploit the full capabilities
of the platform to richly enhance the customer experience."
The ZTE IN system will allow M1 to deliver enhanced
services to its users. The scalability and flexibility
also enables M1 to expand its capacity seamlessly and
to offer flexible customer oriented packages. The order
represents ZTEs first major success with an operator
in Singapore.
