25th January 2005 - The Swedish video content distributor
Kamera has signed a Content Distribution Agreement with
the leading telecom supplier Ericsson. Through this
partnership Ericsson will resell Kameras video
services to mobile operators and other customers worldwide.
Kamera has been providing video content for online
and mobile publishing since 1998. This market has grown
significantly as broadband and 3G networks has been
rolled out. Kameras video content includes news,
entertainment and sports clips and the main source is
the news agency Associated Press Television News.
The meaning of this Content Distribution Agreement
is that Ericsson will resell Kameras mobile video
service in conjunction with its hosting and managed
service offering. For Kamera this means a dramatically
increased sales power and reduced lead times for content
delivery.
Video is one of the hottest content products
in the 3G networks and the number of clips downloaded
by far exceed our expectations. Through this new cooperation
with Ericsson we can roll out our mobile video service
more quickly on a global scale says Dan Willstrand,
Head of Sales at Kamera.
