| 17th February 2005 - The next generation of wireless
network protocol analysers - NetHawk M5 - is being launched
this week at the 3GSM World Congress 2005. This new Multi-Analyser
is based on a totally new engine, and thus, it provides
simultaneous 2G, 2.5G and 3G protocol analysis in a powerful
all-in-one test platform.
Multi-analysis
With the NetHawk M5, you can perform several independent
on-line analyses simultaneously, as well as analyse
several trace files, online or offline, at the same
time. To each of these analyses, you can use individual
filters, triggers, counters, etc. The NetHawk M5's multi-interface
call trace enables you to correlate in real-time data
from different interfaces and find the sources of failure
in the shortest possible time.
Increased capacity
The NetHawk M5 is designed to analyse test scenarios
with high data capture rates and heavy load conditions.
New HW with powerful onboard pre-processors is introduced
for increased capturing performance and line interface
capacity. The NetHawk M5 also introduces a totally new
distributed concept of monitoring. You can cluster several
NetHawk M5s together to cover a large monitoring scenario.
In the distributed monitoring setup, a cluster of M5s
can be easily controlled remotely as one single logical
analyser, while having the performance of several analysers
filtering and processing data. With this functionality,
the NetHawk M5 offers the easiest and most economical
solution for covering a large monitoring scenario.
New UI and new tools for processing the gathered
data
With it's advanced filtering and statistical KPI functions,
as well as advanced Call and Session analysis application,
NetHawk M5 is a very powerful tool for operators' live
networks as well as manufacturers' pilot networks and
load testing environments. With the M5's automatic configuration
feature, time-consuming setup is no longer necessary.
Monitoring parameters are configured completely automatically,
and testing can be started immediately.
"An understanding of the customer's needs combined
with the most innovative way of implementing new functionality
and features have always been NetHawk's strength. This
new test platform is designed for mobile multi-technology
networks and it provides more performance, more line
capacity, more flexibility, more detailed results and
more simplicity of usage," says Mr. Hannu Huttunen,
CEO of NetHawk Group. "With this great new functionality
we are welcoming new customer segments. Nevertheless,
we have also kept our present users in mind and created
a smooth upgrade evolution path from our present platform
to the NetHawk M5 Multi-Analyser."
