CoPilot Live as a navigation tool
To travel to a destination simply start CoPilot Live
on the device, input a destination and CoPilot Live
will work out the best route and then guide
you there.
To find your destination, you can choose from the following
input options:
- Store your most common journeys to retrieve one
touch ‘take me there ’ instructions
- Input a house number or postcode
- Choose from an Outlook® contact, (providing
there is an address stored)
- Select a point of interest from the housands of
available destinations, such as petrol stations and
car parks
- Choose from a list of favourites you have created
For a journey which takes you to multiple destinations
use CoPilot ’s Stop Optimisation feature to calculate
the most efficient route to take. This is ideal for
complex trips or for multi-drop deliveries.Simply enter
in the stops in any order and CoPilot Live will organise
them into the most efficient route for your entire journey.
Detailed up to date street maps are included
for the UK and Ireland from NAVTEQ (used by leading
car manufacturers).
Maps for Europe are supplied on a CD and
can be downloaded to the device by purchasing an optional
European Maps unlock key.
If things go wrong.

Safety first.

- A preloaded database can be used to warn you of
the location of all UK safety cameras.This database
can be kept up to date via a free download
from the internet.
CoPilot Live as a tracking tool
As well as a navigation system, CoPilot Live can be
set to take full advantage of the high speed GPRS Internet
connection to provide real-time communications between
the device and a base. Businesses can stay connected
to their mobile employees and consumers can stay connected
with family and friends when they’re on the road. Customers
and companies can track the progress of a delivery and
find out the estimated time of arrival, send messages
to the device and even add new destinations remotely
to an itinerary. The driver can send a time limited
tracking invitation via e-mail, to allow a customer
to check the estimated time of arrival for a meeting
or the anticipated delivery time for an important parcel.
