Fontal.A is a SIS file trojan that installs a corrupted Font file on the device, it has to be downloaded by the phone's owner for infection, but once installed the phone is damaged.

If the phone is infected by the Fontal.A trojan, it should not be rebooted because Fontal.A prevents the phone from booting again. If the phone is rebooted, it will try to boot, but does not succeed. After that the phone is unusable.

Currently the only known way to disinfect the phone, that is infected by Fontal.A and is rebooted, is to reformat the phone. Due that, all data on the phone will be lost.

In addition of installing the corrupted font file, Fontal.A also damages the application manager so that it cannot be uninstalled. No new applications can be installed before the phone is disinfected by reformatting it.
