5th July 2005 - As the first mobile operator in Hungary,
T-Mobile started its customer test on the companys
integrated 3G network in Budapest in June. Within hardly
more than two weeks upon starting the test, the largest
Hungarian mobile operator also offers the possibility
for participants to use video telephony in several foreign
networks. Therefore participants to the 3G test may
also keep in touch in video format, based on the frame
of the well-known roaming scheme.
T-Mobile currently has 3G roaming agreements with eight
foreign mobile operators and the video telephone service
is available in several networks. T-Mobiles 3G
network - built together with Ericsson - is available
in numerous districts of Pest and Buda and customers
can expect the network to be rolled out - according
to the planned time schedule - to the majority of Budapest
by the end of the year.
