| 18th July 2005 - DJ Armin van Buuren is the first DJ in the
world that via his Vodafone UMTS handset will download and let
the audience hear his new dance mix during Dance Valley 2005.
From today, dance fans can choose from MusicDownloads selected
by Armin van Buuren via a Vodafone website launched specially
for the occasion. The top DJ will use the dance numbers with
the most votes in his unique, 5 minutes long Vodafone MusicDownload
mix.
Armin van Buuren will let the audience hear the mix for the
first time on Saturday, 6 August, via his Vodafone mobile
telephone, during the MusicDownload party at Dance Valley
in Spaarnwoude, the Netherlands. Vodafone customers can listen
to the mix via MusicDownloads. It is the first time that a
DJ offers a MusicDownload dance mix, specially made for the
mobile phone.
Vodafone is the only mobile operator in the Netherlands to
offer MusicDownloads, complete music numbers with digital
sound quality, on the mobile phone. Vodafone customers can
choose their favourite music tracks from a music catalogue
of no fewer than 500,000 tracks.
With the launch of Vodafone MusicDownloads two months ago,
Vodafone was the first mobile operator in the Netherlands
that offers customers the possibility to use their mobile
as a kind of MP3 player (AAC) and Kane's new hit single, "Something
To Say", was first launched on the market via Vodafone's
MusicDownloads, a number of days before it was available in
the music stores.
