The T-Mobile MDA Pro is the successor
to the successful MDA III and, just like the T-Mobile
MDA compact and the T-Mobile SDA, forms part of the
"Office in your Pocket" portfolio. These handsets
are specially equipped for business users who want to
work mobile. The latest Mobile Digital Assistant from
T-Mobile is a mobile phone and a pocket PC in one. The
devices standard functions make it possible to
send and receive e-mail and to surf the web via GPRS,
UMTS and via broadband Internet (Wi-Fi). With it one
can send and receive mobile data super fast. This is
possible on the road at a T-Mobile HotSpot and at home,
as long as Wi-Fi is installed there. Ideal for wireless
Internet and e-mail are the QWERTY keyboard and the
rotating touchscreen display. The MDA Pro is equipped
with Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 software. This expanded
package includes, among other things, Microsoft Pocket
Outlook, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
and a PDF viewer.
Apart from extensive office facilities,
the MDA Pro also boasts a built-in 1.3 megapixel digital
camera and an integrated music and video player. The
MDA Pro has 128 MB internal memory and can be fitted
with a 512 MB memory card. The MDA Pro is a tri-band
phone and thus ideal for users travelling to the United
States, for example. T-Mobile customers can use their
T-Mobile connection as usual there. They can also make
use of all T-Mobile HotSpots, for example at Starbucks,
FedEx Kinkos and Hyatt in the United States.
