1st January 2006 - Samsung, Orange, Motorola, 3, Sony Ericsson
and Virgin Mobile were among the big winners at the glitzy
Mobile Choice Consumer Awards 2005 held in London.
Samsung's D600
scooped the Phone Of The Year 2005 prize. The latest slide-up
technology and great high performance functions make the Samsung
D600 a mobile phone par excellence. The wide range of business
features like the e-mail client, quad-band technology or the
document viewer enable seamless data transfer in all standard
formats.
Motorola got Best Fashion Phone and Reader's Dream Phone,
while Sony Ericsson won Manufacturer Of The Year at the prestigious
event held in London's Old Billingsgate Market.
Among the operators, Orange and Virgin Mobile celebrated
their fifth straight successes in the Best Network and Best
Customer Services categories, respectively, both of which
are voted for by Mobile Choice readers.
Meanwhile 3 was a double winner on the night, bagging both
the Best Prepay Awardd and Best 3G Network award at the glittering
event, hosted by comedian Bill Bailey.
