2nd June 2006 - Europe : Samsung Electronics, the Korean
based leading mobile handset manufacturer, provided T-DMB
(Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) phones to Debitel,
one of Germanys largest Mobile Service Providers, for the
launch of Europes first commercial DMB based Mobile TV service
in Germany.

Debitels DMB service will be available from May 31st,
letting German enhance their FIFA World Cup 2006 experience
by bringing it into mobility. People can watch World
Cup Games exclusively with Europes first T-DMB phone,
Samsungs P900, in German market in June.
With Samsungs famous and unique landscape view design,
the SGH-P900 gives consumers a more ergonomic Mobile
TV experience. In addition to crisp and vivid TV viewing,
the SGH-P900 fully supports additional multimedia features
including a 2 megapixel camera, music players, and Bluetooth
technology. Its enhanced audio quality powered by dual
speakers, digital power amplifier, and an external music
key helps maximize the live broadcasting TV viewing
experience.

Mobile TV service will be available in five major cities
of Germany. The service will start in Berlin, Cologne, Munich,
Stuttgart and Frankfurt and then will spread to more major
German cities during the next month.

Samsung Electronics has already provided satellite and terrestrial
DMB phones in the Korean market. Samsung provided DVB-H (Digital
Video Broadcasting ? Handheld) Mobile TV phones for Italian
market and is actively cooperating with other European operators
for future commercial launches of mobile TV services.
