17th October - Nokia has announced
the 2610, a pay-as-you-go mobile phone that it says is
ideal for student, featuring various communication features,
and a mirror-like display when idle.
Outfitted in sleek black with fluidly designed lines,
the 2610 incorporates a soft touch finish that helps
to combats dust and improve grip. The phone boasts a
voice recorder with integrated handsfree speaker; and
Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, which allows for recording
an audio message, then sending it to several friends
at the same time. It also has e-mail support, and a
WAP browser.

An organizer feature provides an optional weekly or monthly
calendar, and an application to manage basic finances. It
can also support additional memory to accommodate up to 300
more phonebook entries. Nokias 2601 weighs just 91 grams,
and offers up to three hours of talk time, and 12 days of
standby.
Rogers Wireless consumers wont have to compromise
features or style with this affordable Nokia phone,
said Carla Carmichael, Marketing Director, Nokia Canada. A
great advantage of the Nokia 2610 phone from Rogers Wireless
is that budget-conscious students never have to worry about
another bill coming in at the end of the month. With a pay-as-you-go
phone like the Nokia 2610 device, students will always know
how much money they have left to spend on phone calls and
text messages.
