| 2nd January - 81 percent of the Dutch population will now
be be able to use the super-fast mobile broadband provided by
T-Mobile. In the forthcoming months, T-Mobile will further expand
the network in order to enable even more clients to experience
mobile Internet in the same way as at their home and office.
Niek Jan van Damme, General Manager T-Mobile Netherlands:
"We are happy with our decision to offer HSDPA directly
and skip UMTS. From 1 January 2007, 81 percent of the Dutch
will be able to use mobile broadband Internet while on the
move. With this, we offer clients the same Internet experience
that they are used to at home and in the office. Furthermore,
we have a simple and clear price structure, whereby the client
can make unlimited use of the service for a fixed price per
month. And that is important for accelerating the rate of
acceptance of this new service. In the forthcoming period
we will continue to invest in the encouragement of the use
of mobile broadband and the reduction of resistance in municipalities,
which will allow us to further expand our network."
