14th May - T-Mobile Hungary had been the first operator to
introduce HSDPA in Hungary, and now it plays a leading role
in 3G/HSDPA roaming as well.
When travelling abroad, customers of the operator are now
able to use 3G in 47 networks of 31 countries, i.e. they are
able to use faster mobile Internet and to make video calls
on most 3G networks.
What is more, owing to the spread of HSDPA, mobile broadband
(3G/HSDPA) has also become available in 21 partner networks.
That way, customers of T-Mobile are able to surf the net comfortably
and at a high speed, including the dispatch and receipt of
e-mail messages, similarly to what they are used to on the
Hungarian broadband network of the company. The fast data
transmission enabled by broadband can be enjoyed outside Hungary
as well, with a mobile telephone or a portable computer.
In addition to expanding the community of roaming partners,
T-Mobile Hungary continues to build its 3G/HSDPA network.
The current coverage level of 30% projected on population
will increase further. By the end of 2007 mobile broadband
will become available in several new localities and the current
download speed of 3.6 Mbps will have doubled. In addition,
T-Mobile considers high quality indoor coverage a special
priority, i.e. when the 3G/HSDPA network is implemented, the
model to follow is the high quality that the GSM customers
are already used to.
