14th July - Streamezzo announced a partnership with Nokia
under which Streamezzo has developed MyNseries a comprehensive
platform that delivers the ultimate rich multimedia experience
to users of Nokias N-series family of mobile devices.
Under the terms of the partnership, Streamezzo was responsible
for leading the design, development, delivery management,
hosting, and deployment of the MyNseries application.
MyNseries, launched on June 12, 2007 by Nokia France, is
a S60 application for the Symbian mobile operating system.
The application was specifically designed for the Nokia N-series
family of mobile devices using Streamezzos Rich Media
software suite. The Nokia N-Series phones include a broad
array of models in use by millions of users worldwide. MyNseries
empowers those users with a host of leading-edge multimedia
services and Web 2.0 capabilities, including:
- The latest news from Nokia
- Community and user-generated content including photos and
videos
- A broad selection of music services
- Search and various navigational applications
- Entertainment and gaming applications from leading publishers
- Internet browsing and other useful applications
- Access to MyNseries TV and Vpod TV services for thematic
channel viewing
- An embedded podcast reader
- Access to customizable RSS feeds
Additionally, Streamezzos end-to-end technology platform
enables simple, one-click synchronization, allowing users
to stay up-to-date with the latest software versions and the
very latest content and multimedia services.
"We are excited to be a part of this major enhancement
to the Mobile Internet. With MyNseries, our mobile multimedia
devices become the perfect Mobile 2.0 platform for user communities,
user-generated content and other rich multimedia experiences,
said Laurent David, director of multimedia for Nokia France.
Given the challenge of designing and developing a complete
technology platform for Nokias incredibly diverse global
user base, we entered into this relationship with several
key strategic goals, said Alain Blancquart, CEO for
Streamezzo. Our engineers were chartered with creating
the industrys most compelling and instinctive end-user
experience, offering access to the broadest possible array
of applications. And we knew we must design for a global and
highly flexible technology environment, with ubiquitous and
seamless access to the latest in Internet technologies. We
look forward to an aggressive evolution of this platform and
continued collaboration with Nokia on a global scale.
