24th July - fg microtec announced that its VCC (Voice Call
Continuity) client, fgVoIP, has been successfully signed for
Nokia E-Series mobile phones following the Symbian Signed
testing criteria.
This major achievement will enable enterprises, service providers
and carriers to commercially deploy advanced VCC services
on mobile devices while ensuring the level of quality expected
by end users thanks to the Symbian Signed process.

The fgVoIP VCC client solution has been developed based on
fg microtec's extensive know-how in VoIP technologies and
embedded systems and in close cooperation with Nokia through
the Nokia PRO Forum partner program.
fgVoIP VCC is a voice communication application capable of
managing VoIP and cellular calls seamlessly for the end user
over WLAN and Cellular access networks. Calls can be handed
over between both network types transparently to the user
and without service interruption. The application offers a
wide range of call services and full integration with the
phonebook contacts.
"Fixed Mobile Convergence solutions represent a key
value proposition in today's communication market. Being successful
requires providing a level of quality that satisfies our customers
and partners. Validating our fgVoIP client through Symbian
Signed represents a significant step forward in accomplishing
this goal. The support we received from Nokia PRO Forum has
turned out to be essential in this process," indicated
Robert Mirbaha, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
of fg microtec.
