11th December - In a move that makes interactive 3G video services a practical proposition for security, gaming and logistics companies as well as content owners and network operators, Intellistream today announces that its Unistream™ 3G video content and interactive media platform is now available as a single box licensed appliance to complement its established hosted video content management and delivery platform.

With full remote monitoring and support capability, the Unistream appliance provides a complete set of tools for managing and delivering interactive content to any mobile device that is capable of making and receiving standard 3G video calls. The Unistream appliance comprises a single standard 1U appliance.

Unistream applications are network operator independent, written using standard XML and java techniques and will work on any 3G video phone without the installation of software. This eliminates the cost burden of developing and maintaining application variants for different handsets and networks. These costs have historically been a major barrier to application deployment for many developers and content owners.

The Unistream appliance requires only the addition of interconnects to the phone networks to begin serving both interactive video and standard IVR applications. With remote support and monitoring of the Unistream server from the Intellistream team customers can be confident of rapid development and stable deployment of their applications.
