| 13th December - In a not very
surprising announcement today, we learned that Google has taken another step forward
in keeping iPhone users happy. Last week they rolled out an iPhone-compatible
search page as well as easy access to major tools like Gmail, Calendar, and Reader
from the homepage, but the big addition today was Picasa. Picasa is Googles
online photo service so the tie-in to the iPhones big display is obvious.
The iPhone already has its own photo album, but using Picasas mobile version
members will be able to access their web albums as well. The redesign includes
a new user interface that is optimized for the iPhone. There is also a slideshow
view if you want to check out a series of images and a community search tool if
you are looking for a picture of something. Here are some screenshots
