its turned off! Leveraging Amazon Web Services as the storage medium, the phling!
MusicStash is a users personal storage "locker" where they can
upload and store favorite music tracks for anytime playback via their mobile phone. Oxy
Systems President and CEO, Mike Krasner, said, "We successfully launched
the phling! MusicLounge service in Switzerland last year on the Orange, Swisscom
Mobile, and Sunrise mobile networks in partnership with Edipresse, the French
language media giant. Since then we have listened to the feedback from our subscribers
and are now revealing the MusicStash service, which meets the needs of those subscribers
who prefer to turn off their PC while away from the home." Continuing,
Krasner added, "With our focus firmly on usability and our users, we strive
to continually add new features and capabilities to the phling! mobile music suite.
Critically, we let users listen, share and discover music via the mobile device,
however were particularly proud of the fact that unlike other services,
phling! gives consumers access to the music they already own as well as to indie
bands music and Internet radio." Currently available to all subscribers
at no extra charge, the phling! MusicStash uses an easy and intuitive PC user
interface to let users select the artists and albums they want to upload to, or
delete from, their personal stash. The uploaded music files are stored securely
on the Amazon Web Services servers and are available upon demand by the user using
their phling! enabled phone. About phling! The phling! MusicLoungeSM
lets subscribers listen, share, and discover music on the go anytime, anywhere.
Network and device independent, phling! is the first live mobile music service
with an integrated set of social networking features. The phling! MusicLounge
offers subscribers a shared multimedia experience. Intuitive controls on the user
interface allows subscribers to easily browse user profiles and playlists, rate
songs and connect with each other via personal message boards. In addition to
a range of free music options including Internet radio and a new artists showcase,
phling! lets subscribers stream all the music on their PC, or in their MusicStash,
to their mobile phone, giving them 24/7 access to their entire media collection,
including music, podcasts, playlists and photos. And, through a limited, permission-based
sharing option, subscribers can also share their music collections with up to
six other phling! users. For more information visit www.phling.com. Back
