| 1st May - Cicero Networks announced
the release of its converged rich communication client for Nokia S60 and Windows
Mobile devices. With this launch, Cicero is delivering the world's first fully
integrated solution for mobile voice, presence, messaging and video. CiceroPhone
2.0 provides operators with a simple to use, rich media client designed to enhance
wireless services using existing IP-based and next generation IMS networks. Rich
communication services are characterized by the use of presence, messaging and
video to enhance the core voice service, bringing the benefits of unified communications
into the mainstream carrier environment. By adding this functionality, CiceroPhone
users can make voice and video calls and chat to their on-line buddies, at the
same time, from their mobile phone. Underpinning this new rich communications
experience is the ability to roam across multiple networks - Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, LTE,
WiMAX without any disruption in service. "Operators are looking
beyond the current suite of independent services to combine voice, presence, messaging
and video to create a rich communication experience for their customers,"
said Ross Brennan, CEO of Cicero Networks. CiceroPhone 2.0 is designed to
deliver on this vision, merging the best of web and wireless technologies, to
build revenue and attract new customers. With this launch, Cicero
fully exploits the power of mobile phones and the next generation networks being
deployed by operators. By combining the power of VoIP with other SIP-enabled applications,
Cicero is creating compelling new services that deliver real added value to operators
and users alike. Cicero Networks has led the way in delivering converged
voice services over IP and circuit-switched (2G cellular) networks. Leveraging
this experience, CiceroPhone 2.0 complements the IP infrastructure deployed by
operators and large enterprises and provides a level of unified communications
formerly only seen on the desktop. Working with the handset and with the network,
CiceroPhone builds on the strengths of the underlying platform to provide a high
quality, fully converged rich user experience. CiceroPhone 2.0 will be released
for general availability to operators in May 2008. Cicero will release the enhanced
video client in Q3 2008.
